When a loss occurs, YOU need to keep the scene and immediately contact the INSURANCE COMPANY to request the settlement of insurance benefits in one of the following ways:

The information to be provided includes
– Date and time of the accident:
– Location of the accident: name of the road, belonging to the ward/commune…. district …
– Vehicle information: Control plate/ Frame number or insurance policy number.
– Driver information: Full name.
– Actual damage: damage to the naked eye. Damages after assessment.
– Requirements for inspection and repair: Make an appointment for inspection and repair at any garage.
Note
- Notify the Insurance Company as soon as possible, in order to meet the regulations on accident notification as stated in the insurance contract, if you do not keep the scene or exceed the prescribed date, you will be deducted a % of compensation.
- Or, YOU contact the sales officer (who has issued the insurance certificate to YOU) to request support.
YOU are required to declare to the authorities (traffic police, local authorities/police, …) in the following cases:
- Losses related to the civil liability of the vehicle owner to third parties (except for cases where the estimated loss is less than 10 million VND and the Insurance Company’s officials are at the scene to handle it).
- The cause of the loss is difficult to determine or the compensation officer lacks grounds to determine whether the cause of loss is in the insurance exclusion clause or not.
In addition, you also need to prepare all the basic documents of the vehicle including: registration, registration, identity card, driver’s license, insurance certificate, …
- RECEIPT AND HANDLING OF INSURANCE COMPANY
Upon receiving the above claim for compensation from YOU, the officer receiving the claim will:
- Record some basic information of YOU such as: name, phone number, license plate, actual damage…
- Forward your information to the claim processing department of the unit that issued the insurance certificate for YOU to process.
- In addition, the receiving officer also provides YOU with information on the point of contact for handling compensation at the unit for YOU to contact directly.
In any case, the processing of YOUR claim will be assigned by the INSURANCE COMPANY to a specific Claims Assessor.
- Assessment of losses for insurance indemnity
As soon as possible and as soon as possible no later than 24 hours after receiving the loss notice, the Compensation Inspector will go to the scene of the accident/incident to capture information and investigate accidents at the scene, except for some cases:
- Due to objective conditions, it is not possible to go to the scene for assessment;
- Simple losses are easy to determine the cause and extent of damage;
- The accident was handled by the Traffic Police in accordance with the law.
At this step, the Indemnity Assessor of the INSURANCE Company will guide YOU to coordinate to collect and complete the Loss Assessment dossier.
- Repair
For simple repairs
After the inspection, YOU can take the car for repair, but before repairing, you still have to provide a quote in advance to agree on the cost and repair plan with the INSURANCE COMPANY.
For losses, there are many complicated factors
It is difficult for the parties to agree on the repair price or the loss is of great value: The INSURANCE COMPANY will conduct a bidding for repair and assessment of additional damage (if any).
In case the vehicle needs to be repaired, the Compensation Inspector will guide YOU to choose a repair unit.
There are 2 cases
In case YOU have purchased the additional clause “Repair at the garage of your choice”
YOU can choose to have it repaired at the Company or at an external Repair Unit. However, it should be noted:
- If the repair is genuine, the cost will be based on the company’s price list,
- If the repair at the Repair Unit is not genuine, the INSURANCE COMPANY, you and the Repair Unit will have to agree on the price according to the external market value before repairing.
In case YOU do not purchase the additional clause “Repair at the garage of your choice”
INSURANCE COMPANY agrees with YOU and appoints a Repair Unit. In the event that the customer does not agree to repair at the Repair Unit appointed by the INSURANCE COMPANY, and YOU choose to repair at another Repair Unit, the additional cost due to the selection of another Repair Unit YOU will have to pay.
- Insurance compensation method for customers
In case of property damage, remedial plans for damage that can be applied include: Carrying out repairs (with repairable losses), monetary compensation on the basis of the actual value of damage, and full compensation.
Monetary compensation on the basis of actual damage value
This case usually applies to damage to parts of property that are damaged, which are easy to assess damage but are not available on the market for replacement; the vehicle owner who has an accident in an area where there is no service workshop to ensure quality, the time schedule for repair and replacement, while the loss must be settled immediately; or monetary compensation for civil liability to third parties.
- YOU have a written opinion requesting compensation for monetary damages;
- INSURANCE COMPANY will plan to compensate for damages in cash and handle compensation for YOU.
- In case of guarantee at the affiliated garage, you do not have to pay for repairs, only pay the money that has been deducted/deducted if any.
Compensation for actual or estimated total loss
If the sum insured is equal to or above the actual value of the vehicle is lost in its entirety
The INSURANCE COMPANY will compensate YOU with the actual value of the vehicle of the same type, the same specifications on the market at the time of the loss. In this case, the INSURANCE COMPANY will carry out procedures to recover all car wrecks and related ownership documents.
If the sum insured is below the actual value of the vehicle on the market at the time of the loss
The INSURANCE COMPANY will compensate YOU in the amount of the sum assured stated on the insurance certificate. In this case, the INSURANCE COMPANY will calculate the recovery value of the wreckage on the basis of the ratio of Insured Value / Actual Value of the vehicle.
- Closing insurance indemnity dossiers
During the process and conclusion of the compensation process, you need to coordinate according to the instructions of the Compensation Inspector to complete and close the compensation case file with the INSURANCE COMPANY.
